In an article appearing in Fortune magazine, linguist Stephen Reader observes that, “…among people with two- or four-year degrees, workers in the top 20% of writing ability earn, on average, more than three times as much as workers whose writing falls into the worst 20%.”
Located on the third floor of Hegeman Hall in the Academic Success at Keuka (ASK) office, the Writing and Tutorial Center is designed to help you sharpen your writing skills, and get you in the top 20 percent of writers.
We’re comprised of professional staff with advanced degrees who counsel students in reading, writing, and math, as well as peer tutors who are recruited on the basis of their GPA and faculty recommendations.
Feel free to drop by our office to have a member of our staff work with you to plan, improve, or proofread your next writing assignment.
ASAP students can get writing assistance by e-mailing their papers to ASAPWritingHelp@keuka.edu or by contacting Geoff Lee (firstname.lastname@example.org, 315-427-8318). A tutor will reply, with feedback and suggestions, within 48 hours.
